A popular advertisement for the Marines says, “We’re looking for a few
good men.” That could be an advertisement by most wives… “We’re
looking for a few good husbands.” The basic problem is that men and
women are seldom in the same book much less on the same page.

After a woman had done something of which her husband disapproved, he
looked at her and said, “How on earth can you be so beautiful and so
stupid at the same time?” She looked him straight in the eye and said,
“God made be beautiful so that you would love me and God made me stupid
so I would love you.”

Most men know that the Bible says they are to love their wife as
Christ loved the church. Some fellows respond by saying, “Well if I
didn’t love her I wouldn’t have married her.” It’s THAT attitude that
is NOT included in the admonition to love your wife.
