Riddle - Answer

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

By listening to the media, you will quickly hear that some people want fairness. Many believe it’s not fair for some people to make more than others. That’s just not right. That’s not American and the remedy is to put more taxes on the wealthy. They shouldn’t have that all that money anyway….it’s just not fair for someone to be that rich. We should re-distribute the money.

Now when that type of thinking leaks over into your religion, you might say that you want God to be fair. Do you really want a God that is fair and will give you exactly what you deserve?

Fair would be YOU paying for your own sins. Unfair would be someone else having to pay for what you’ve done wrong. Because of His love for you, God showed mercy and did not give you what you deserved.

Do you remember the riddle of last week? The one that 80% of Kindergarten children can answer but only 17% of College Seniors can answer. The riddle was: “What is greater than God, More evil than the devil, The poor have it, The rich don’t want it and If you eat it you will die?” The answer: NOTHING. “NOTHING is greater than God, NOTHING is more evil than the devil, The poor have NOTHING, The rich don’t want “NOTHING” and If you eat NOTHING you will die?” Did you get it right?
