From The Pulpit With Bro. Bob Price
...Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

COMING TO YOU WEEKLY!

Alamo

Not long ago my wife and I spent a little holiday in San Antonio. We went again to the Alamo. I stood there and heard the story and wondered if I would have been that brave and courageous.

Then I began to think—If you’d told those 189 men, I want you to go and hole up in a mission church and become brutally murdered by an enemy 15 times larger than you. I’ll bet they wouldn’t have gone. If you had told them I want you to go to a place called San Antonio and there you will die in such a manner that your courage will be admired by people for years to come. You’re response in the face of adversity will become the rally cry for a state and a nation. I’m still not sure they would have gone.

You see, many times we are placed in a scenario much bigger than ourselves. We’re called upon to be a part of something that will only be appreciated in the future. It’s then that the test of our momentary convictions will be challenged. It’s then you will face a confrontation that will reveal if you truly believe in a cause. Today, is there an Alamo in your life? Don’t bow to the pressure. There’s too much in the future at stake.
