From The Pulpit With Bro. Bob Price
...Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

COMING TO YOU WEEKLY!

always Winter, but never Christmas…

In the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia, there is a scene when little Lucy has a conversation with Mr. Tumnus, “faun.” He tells Lucy of a time when Narnia was a much greater place with glorious days of summer. However, those days are gone because the evil White Witch had put a curse on the land. Narnia had become a place where it was “always winter, but never Christmas.” Basically, Mr. Tumnus was saying there is no hope…all is gone.

“There is no hope” are words that make it hard to get up every day; words that cause you to wonder what is the incentive to go on. Sometimes, people begin to believe that there is no hope. When I person attempts suicide, that is the ultimate expression of “no hope.” The person is saying, “I can’t fix my problem, you can’t fix my problem and even God can’t fix my problem.” Their situation is hopeless and the only way out is to take their life.

Read carefully…your resources may be limited and man may disappoint you, but God has a plan for you. He will never let you down. Don’t give up on Him because He will never give up on you. He promised He would never allow anything to come upon you that He didn’t already have a way of escape. Today, won’t you trust Him to carry you through your problem? (06-07-07)
