From The Pulpit With Bro. Bob Price
...Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

COMING TO YOU WEEKLY!

Are You a Good Person?

If I were to ask you if you were a good person, your response would probably be “YES.” So let me ask you a few questions to check your “goodness.” Have you ever told a lie? I mean ever in your life and regardless of the “size” of the lie. If you have, then by definition you are a liar. Next, have you ever stolen anything? I mean at any time and again regardless of the size. If you take candy bar that isn’t yours, you have stolen and by definition you are a thief.

Now let me go a little farther. When you lie you misrepresent yourself. And you can lie without opening your mouth. When you fill out your income tax return is there anything on that form that “misrepresents” you? When you fill out your resume is everything true and accurate? If not, you’re lying. In the same manner you can steal without using your hands.

Your employer has hired you to work—not to goof off. That is stealing of time. When no one is looking are you as diligent as when the boss is in sight? At work telephones are to conduct business.

Do you use the company phone to do personal business? Do you use the internet and e-mail for your own private use? That too is stealing! So let me ask again: Are you a good person or do you need to make some adjustments?
