From The Pulpit With Bro. Bob Price

COMING TO YOU WEEKLY!

Confusing

Jesus taught more on money than any subject other than heaven or hell, yet it is probably the most confused topic among church people.

A couple rented a cabin in the woods of a northwestern state. In order to be assured that the accommodations were suitable, the husband wrote inquiring about the bathroom facilities, running water, and electricity. Too embarrassed to ask if the cabin had an inside toilet and reluctant to use the word “john,” he came up with the term “bathroom commode.” Still unwilling to use that term, he asked the availability of the “BC.”

The cabin owner studied to figure out what “BC” meant. Finally, he assumed that it meant Baptist Church and he wrote the following letter:

Dear Sir,

I’m delighted to inform you that the BC is located just 9 miles from the cabin. It is very modern and seats 250 people at one time. I regret that it’s quite a distance from the cabin, but most people just take their lunch and stay all day.

It’s been 6 years since I’ve gone to the BC, but when you come I will be glad to take you and introduce you to all the folks at our BC.

The Bible’s teaching on finances is quite clear – TITHE. If it’s confusing to you, it’s not God’s fault.
