From The Pulpit With Bro. Bob Price
...Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (JN 8:32)

Mystery

Most of us like a good mystery. We especially like the last chapter of the book or the last 5-minutes of the movie. That’s when all the unknowns become known. However, there are some mysteries we will never know. We’ll never know why the swallows come back to the Mission Church at Capistrano every year precisely on the 19th of March or how the stones on Easter Island got in their unique position or how they built the pyramids of Egypt?

The Bible speaks of a mystery that at one time was hidden but now has been revealed. What was once a mystery is no more. It has made known to the apostles and prophets and to Paul and yes even to you and me.

The mystery is that Jesus is for all people. Christ is not just exclusive for a certain people or tribe or culture. Not only is Jesus for all people but Jesus is the only way.

The bottom line is this—If you miss Jesus, you’ll miss everything. We might disagree on spiritual gifts or the method of baptism, but if you get Jesus “wrong” you’ll miss it all.

So I pose the question to you: Who is Jesus according to your understanding? Choose your answer carefully. Your eternal destiny hinges on your answer. (07-19-07)
